Nintendo Classic Mini – Super NES

After the very successful launch of the NES mini, we all knew Nintendo was bound to release a Super NES mini to add onto their mini classic series.

Today, the 27th of June 2017, Nintendo confirmed that the Super NES mini release date in Australia will be the 30th of September 2017 retailing for $119.95 AUD and available for purchased in the US on the 29th of September for $79.99 USD.

The original Super Nintendo was released in Australia and New Zealand back in 1992. Most people who owned one considered it to have the best games of all time. It is very exciting for Nintendo to be releasing its classic consoles in “mini” form, bringing back nostalgia and feels for the 90’s kids.

Here is a gallery of the 21 pre- installed games in the Super NES mini it also comes with an exclusive first time release of Star Fox 2, developed during the Super Nintendo era, this is a never before released sequel to the popular Star Fox game.

All of these games would be considered classics by anyone’s standards. Nintendo has given a great selection of games from massive role-playing games, platform games and multiplayer player games to kill some time with family and friends.

In addition to the 21 in built games and the console itself the Super NES mini includes:

  • HDMI cable
  • One USB power cable
  • Two wired Super NES mini controllers

I am “super” excited for this and already pre-ordered it at EB Games, I have also heard JB Hi-fi has them on pre-order for Aussies who want one. (Limit: one per customer)

I did notice that there are two editions, not sure if only one design will be released or if you get to choose which design you want, check out the gallery and comment below which Super NES mini design you prefer.
